In 2021, Party City wanted to help everyone get back into the swing of Halloween after skipping a few celebrations (due to unforeseen circumstances). And to help, we created a series of illustrated “How To” guides that walk people through some ways to prepare. Each guide features products offered by Party City, including Costumes, Accessories and Decor.

Frederic Morin, David McMillan, and Meredith Erickson were invited to Sid Lee Toronto for a fireside discussion about the similarities between cooking, running a highly successful restaurant, writing a book, and advertising. The conversation covered Joe Beef’s process towards creating a menu, to how they pick their staff, to how they push and support their young chefs to start their own ventures.
Design needs include posters, digital invites and an event backdrop.

The Emotophone is a public art piece that prompts passer-by’s to ask each other questions from psychologist, Arthur Aron’s, 36 Questions that lead to closer and more intimate relationships.
The sculpture is made of two speaking tubes, with recording devices at each end of the speakers. Participants take turns asking each other the prompt questions, and their responses are anonymously recorded to be transcribed to twitter for others to read.
